Démarche
Par une pratique artistique multidisciplinaire, je propose un travail où la perception des médiums se confond. J’en explore les limites et à la fois la complétude. L’environnement domestique et la charge symbolique des objets familiers qui le composent sont au centre de mes préoccupations, tout comme le corps qui entre en relation étroite avec cet environnement. Par des jeux de camouflage et d’échange de rôles entre les éléments constitutifs de mes fabrications, un constant aller-retour entre 2D et 3D brouille l’interprétation du regardeur. La neutralité chromatique de mes compositions accentue la singularité des silhouettes, éliminant les traces d’une mémoire d’utilisation : l’accumulation et la répétition en occultent la fonction d’usage. La forme finale de mes oeuvres témoigne d’actes de détournements dans lesquels le plus banal devient étrange par un processus d’esthétisation.
Statement
Through a multidisciplinary artistic practice, I propose a work in which the perception of mediums merges. I explore the limits and completeness of what this convergence implies. The domestic environment and the symbolic load of the familiar objects inhabiting it is at the centrer of my interest as same as how the body interact closely with this environment. By camouflage and role-swapping games between elements constituting my fabrications, a constant back and forth between 2D and 3D blurs the viewer's perception. The chromatic neutrality in my compositions accentuates the singularity of silhouettes and thus eliminates traces of usage : the accumulation and repetition hides the function of use. The final form of my works demonstrates acts of diversion in which the most banal becomes strange through a process of aestheticization.
